VINAS's High-speed Calculation Business - Latest Developments in Matrix Solver Technology *
Takashi Ishigami, Director, Project Development Dept., VINAS Co., Ltd.

Update information of VINAS's high-speed calculation business, including development of parallel SMS codes, is introduced to the participants.

10:30 - 11:00

Boosting the speed of FINAS/CFD, a fluid-structure multiphysics analysis code *
Dr. Hitoshi Kawahara, Manager
Energy & Industrial Systems Dept., Science & Engineering Systems Div., CRC Solutions Corp.

A thermal-fluid analysis code "FINAS/CFD" using fully unstructured grid for fluid-structure coupled analysis is introduced, as well as the evaluation results of adopting various matrix solvers including SMS-AMG into the code for the purpose of boosting the calculation speed.

11:00 - 11:30

Extending use of SMS in injection molding analyses *
Dr. Shinichiro Tanifuji, Executive Managing Director, CTO
Plamedia Corporation

Results of applying SMS-AMG, SMS-BEM, and SMS-MF in Plamedia's several plastic forming analysis packages for the purpose of speeding-up the calculation process are introduced. Brief introduction of Plamedia's software products and their achievements is also given.

11:30 - 12:00

Development of parallel iterative matrix solvers based on JAXA's research achievements *
Dr. Eng. Yuichi Matsuo
Center for Planning and Information Systems
Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency

A "parallel iterative matrix solver" developed based on publicized research achievement of JAXA is introduced. Topics include the key technology, purpose and background of development, features and capabilities, and future development plans.
