Improving Further Efficiency of Large-scale CFD Analysis and Desgin Optimization

Foreword

We are proud to announce the opening of our annual users meeting, the “VINAS Users Conference 2010” this October.

Having started as a seminar in 1996, this year marks the 15th anniversary. This has been made possible solely owing to the significant support and cooperation from a great many coming from a variety of industries; aerospace, automotive, heavy industry, industrial equipment, electric/electronics and others, as well as from the group of academic institutions. We would like to borrow this opportunity to extend our sincere gratitude for the continued loyalty for the services that we provide.

This conference allows our participants to interact and exchange useful information through the presentations on actual use of CFD/FEA, in which practitioners have accomplished great achievements in improving efficiency on advanced basic research and product design.

For this year’s meeting, we will be having many of our users introduce their leading-edge work focusing on:
- Large data CFD visualization for parallel servers
- Turbomachinary design optimization
-Complicated physical phenomena analysis applied for rocket engine development
- Improvement of productively for Engine In-cylinder spray/combustion design
- Structure optimization and weight reduction technologies

We have also arranged the presentations with special focus on the latest technologies applied to cope with current energy and environmental issues. Both domestic and overseas guest speakers will be introducing their forefront case studies that match the current global trends and needs beyond.

The representatives of each our business partners, along with our group of VINAS staffs will be introducing the latest information on our products, such as latest versions, development roadmaps, and our proactive consulting services that we have reinforced, and much more throughout the event.

As a new attempt for our Users meeting,　we will be having a panel discussion with BMW and MAN Diesel and Turbo, to discuss how the latest optimization technology is applied to reduce weight, as the importance of weight reduction is rapidly increasing among the manufacturing industry.、We have organized this session so that all participants can gain valuable information through the discussions on their approaching methods.

For our keynote presentation on October 21 - DAY1, we will be inviting Prof. Kozo Fujii from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). His speech will be on “New possibilities of manufacturing technology through the synergy of CFD and HPC”, which will be on the next-generation super computer project, manufacturing strategies, and the future of CFD in the industrial world in 10 years time.

A welcome party will be held on the evening of DAY1 and we hope that many of our users will come and join us. Our staffs await you with a variety of food and beverages. It will be our greatest pleasure of all to have our participants at the party interact with the fellow engineers in various disciplines and industries. And we believe this will be an opportunity to exchange valuable information on forefront technology and service, concrete methods on how each solution are applied to their designing work.
