Introduction to VINAS Users Conference 2005
Pursuit of higher accuracy in high-precision analyses and faster speed in analyses for rough estimations; these are two critical issues for which new solutions are urgently sought after in present-day CAE/CFD technologies, because both are required for realization of practical, productive and efficient product development processes.

VINAS is committed to provide "human-oriented CAE/CFD technologies", which enable our customers to enhance their product development forces by promoting sharing of expert knowledge throughout an organization, supporting smooth communications in and out of a product development team, and offering high-performance CAE/CFD tools that are easily operated by product designers on a day-to-day basis.

In order to fulfill this commitment, VINAS continues to propose various solutions that help our customers find their optimal product design by incorporating expert know-how into computer software systems performing series of tasks in product development such as analyses of very large simulation models and unsteady analyses and at the same time utilizing customers' existing computational environment as well as software applications with which their engineers have become familiar over the years.

In the upcoming user conference, domestic and international users of our CAE/CFD product line are invited to present their advanced applications of the software tools in their actual research and development activities. In addition, representative speakers from developers of the software packages are invited from overseas to give you an update on global trends in use of their products and their future software development plans.

If you are an existing customer of us or interested in any of our products, we believe this opportunity will be informative for you, and we look forward to seeing you in the conference.

Yasuhiko Fujikawa,
President,

Special Exibition
FieldView eXtreme - FieldView VR Demonstration -
FieldView eXtreme, High Performance CFD Post-Processing Software, will be demonstrated through the system with VR devices such as the head tracking system in the virtual environments. Please join us and experience the high realistic sensation!
* Example Image
A researcher at NASA Glenn Research Center studies hot gas reingestion of a vertical take off and landing (VTOL) aircraft using FieldView eXtreme, in a Fakespace RAVE virtual environment. The application interface is via a wireless tablet PC and navigation is performed with a wand and head tracking.

Sculptor - CFD mesh morphing / Shape optimization tool -
Sculptor volumetrically deforms (morphs) an engineering analysis model into an optimal design, in real-time, without revisiting CAD or remeshing. It is very easy to learn and allows direct local deformation within existing CFD models.

Case Study: Mesh morphing by ASD Volume

Case Study: Contours of downforce on the baseline fairing (left) and the maximum downforce design (right)
