VINAS is stepping up its design consulting
service
─ AVANT! Bringing tomorrow’s
technology and performance to today!─
It’s that time of year, and we are delighted
to announce forthcoming "VINAS Users Conference 2008" thanks to
many users from academic institutions to private corporations who
kindly accepted to present their impressive cases in various fields
of expertise such as aerospace, automobile, heavy industry and industrial
equipment.
One notable aspect of our user conference is that
highly advanced application examples from real research and design
projects are presented regardless of the types and brands of solvers
that are used. This year, we offer a series of presentations about
technologies used in handling of very large analysis data and their
advantageous effects, as one of the highlighted themes of the conference.
Participants will also be presented with future
development plans of our software products and our comprehensive
consulting services that encompass automotive weight reduction,
noise and vibration suppression, and turbomachinery design, with
their beneficial effects that have been achieved so far. Representatives
from developers of CFD/CAE software are also invited to present
the latest information about their software development and give
previews of the next versions of their software, and participating
users are encouraged to ask questions and discuss related issues
with them in person.
The keynote speech of this year is given by Mr.
Kenji Ono from RIKEN on DAY 1 (October 15th), outlining the much
talked about next generation super computer (so-called "peta-computer"),
which is capable of handling very large computation tasks and has
the highest computation capability in the world, and its latest
developments.
Other interesting sessions cover the recent trend
of open source CFD solvers such as OpenFOAM, which is steadily becoming
popular around the world, as well as FrontFlow, which is developed by the
Institute of Industrial Science, The University of Tokyo. We are sure
that this will give you deeper insights into future use of CFD solvers.
All the sessions in this conference are in fact
very informative for those of you who want to improve efficiency
of CFD/CAE processes. There will also be various opportunities for
participants to meet each other for networking.
We very much look forward to seeing you in
the conference.
